Please note that, in order to participate in shows, trials or competitions in Sweden, the dog must be vaccinated against distemper, even though this is not a requirement for entering Sweden.

The entry form must be sent to the respective county kennel club. Please note
that the date of closing = the date of payment or postmark date. Entries that
have not arrived to the arranging club by closing date will be returned.
Please use one entry form per dog.
You may also fill in the entry form and pay the entry-fee via Internet

It is important that the entry form is filled in correctly and that all required papers are enclosed.
Important! You can only enter your dog in one class! Please also note that a dog entered in Champion class cannot compete for the CAC (challenge certificate).
10-14 days before the show, exhibitors will get a confirmation of their entry together with a number ticket which has to be brought to the show. Furthermore, the confirmation will include information about the show site, time for veterinary check-in and estimated start time for judging.
The following classes are separate for dogs and bitches unless otherwise stated:
6-9 months - unofficial class
Puppies under 9 months are not eligible for any of the official classes.
All exhibits awarded a first prize in this class are eligible for junior competition class.
Junior competition class: All exhibits awarded a HP (honours prize) are considered as promising. A dog of excellent type can be awarded a Ck (champion quality). Only dogs that have been awarded a Ck are qualified to compete in Best Dog/Best Bitch-class.
15-24 months, excluding Swedish champions.
All exhibits awarded a first prize in this class are eligible for youngster
competition class.
Youngster Competition class: All exhibits awarded a HP (honours prize) are considered as promising. A dog of excellent type can be awarded a Ck (champion quality). Only dogs that have been awarded a Ck are qualified to compete in Best Dog/Best Bitch-class.
15 months and older, excluding Swedish champions.
A) For breeds that need Working trial/Field
trial merits to be eligible for CAC (Challenge certificate) competition. Quality
grading. Dogs given a 1st grade goes on to competition class. Juniors, Champions
or Veterans which are eligible for Working trial/Field trial class and want to
compete for the CAC must be entered in this class.
B) For breeds that have Working trial/Field trial class but
that do not need Working trial/Field trial merits to be
eligible for CAC competition
Quality grading. Dogs given a 1st grade go on to competition class. Juniors or
Veterans which are eligible for Working trial/Field trial class may
be entered in this class.
A) For breeds that need Working trial/Field trial merits to
be eligible for CAC competition.The winner is, if the judge consider him/her to
be of champion quality, awarded the challenge certificate (CAC). Any number of
dogs placed behind the winner can be given Ck. The CAC or the Ck qualifies the
receiver to compete for Best Male or Best Bitch.
B) For breeds that have Working trial/Field trial class but that do not
need Working trial/Field trial merits to be eligible for CAC
competition Any number of dogs can be given Ck. The Ck qualifies the receiver to
compete for the CAC in Best Male or Best Bitch class.
15 months and over, excluding Swedish champions.
For breeds that have no Working trial/Field trial class or as
the examples mentioned below. Dogs awarded a 1st prize go on to Open competition
class. Dogs which already have three CAC's can be entered in this clas instead
of Working trial/Field trial class. Dogs which have three CAC's eligible for
Working trial/Field trial class can instead be entered in this class.
Open competition class: Competition class were dogs of excellent type are awarded Ck which gives them the right to compete in Best Dog/Best Bitch class.
Only open for Swedish, International or other, by SKK approved, national championtitles Ck is awarded to any number of dogs that according to the judges opinion are considered worthy of their championship. Dog awarded Ck shall compete in Best Dog/Best Bitch class. Dogs entered in Champion class can not be awarded CAC.
8 years of age or more
Very well preserved veterans can be awarded HP. Veterans of excellent quality
and still in full bloom can be awarded Ck and are then eligible to compete in
Best Male or Best Bitch class. Provided that the dog has been awarded at least a
HP, the Best Dog Veteran and the Best Bitch Veteran should compete for Best
Veteran of Breed. Veteran in breeds which need Working trial/Field trial merits
for CAC and wants to compete for the CC must be entered in
Working trial/Field trial class.
All exhibits awarded the Ck or CAC during the day should compete for Best
Dog. Winner of the class is awarded Best Dog of Breed. The identical procedure
is employed with the bitches. The dog or bitch placed first is awarded the CAC
if this has not already been given in the Working trial/Field trial class.The
Best Dog and the Best Bitch should finally compete for Best of Breed (BIR) and
Best of Opposite Sex (BIM). Not eligible for the CAC is a dog which:
a) already has been awarded the Swedish champion title
b) is entered in the Champion class
c) already has been awarded three CAC's
Juniors can be awarded an unlimited amount of CAC's as they are too young to be able to get their final CAC for the confirmation of the Swedish champion title.
Note: In several breeds, notably among the Gundog and Working breeds, there are a number of restrictions as far as the championship is concerned. Also in certain houndbreeds, often of native origin, each exhibit with Ck has to be given the CAC. More information about the specific regulations in the different breeds can be obtained by the Information Department, info@skk.se .
At international shows only, dogs and bitches compete for the CACIB (international certificate) and Reserve CACIB in each sex. The CACIB is normally awarded in connection with the competition for Best Dog and Best Bitch respectively.
Cropping of ears
Dogs with cropped ears born in Sweden or in another country where ban of ear
cropping is valid must NOT participate. Dogs with cropped ears born after a
Danish-, Finnish-, Norwegian- or Swedish owned bitch must NOT participate.
Dogs with cropped ears born 2007-12-31 or earlier, in a country where cropping
of ears is accepted MAY participate.
Docking of tails
Dogs with docked tails MAY ONLY participate under the conditions that they
fullfill any of the following conditions:
was born 2007-12-31 or earlier, in another country than Sweden or Norway, not
born after a Swedish- or Norwegian born bitch and then was legal in the country
where the dog was born and the docking took place.
was born in Sweden between 1993-01-01 and 2007-12-31 and the docking was
executed for veterinary reasons, e.g. to repair an injury acquired after birth,
and to certify this in a veterinary certificate which can be shown in its
original version at the show as well as at later occasions.
Docked tails of the breeds Dobermann and Rottweiler born 1997-01-01 or
later in a country which has a ban of docking must NOT participate for
whatever reason the docking was made
At the General Assembly of the Swedish Kennel Club of 2007-06-02 - 03 a
decision was made concerning trials, competitions and dog shows for dogs born
2008-01-01 or later and which are docked or born without a natural full length
tail (e.g. natural short tail) See below.
At dog shows the following is valid
Dogs born 2008-01-01 or later which are cropped/docked MAY NOT participate in
dog show s not even if the dogs were born in a country where cropping/docking is
permitted or if the docking was done for veterinary reasons.
Exceptions:
Dogs born 2008-01-01 or later, which were born in a country where docking is
permitted or dogs which have been docked for veterinary reasons MAY, after a
special inquiry at the Swedish Kennel Club, be judged on one occasion and get
the results registered into the stud book
Dogs from Group 7 (pointing dogs) born 2008-01-01 or later
and which were born in a country where docking is permitted, or which have been
docked for veterinary reasons or were not born with a natural full length tail
MAY participate in dog shows.
Dogs born 2008-01-01 or later and which were not born witn a natural
full length tail and which are of a breed which the General Committee
of the Swedish Kennel Club at its meeting of 2007-09-05 gave permission to
participate in shows, see below:
Group 1: Australian shepherd, Australian stumpy tail cattle
dog, Berger des pyrenées (both varieties)’, Bouvier des Flandres, oOd English
Sheepdog, Polski Owczarek Nizinny, Welsh corgi Pembroke and Schipperke
Group 2: Ca de Bou, English Bulldog, Entlerbucher Sennenhund
and Danish/Swedish farm dog.
Group 5: Swedish Vallhund
Group 6: Smålandsstövare
Group 8: Perro de Agua Espanol
Group 9: Boston terrier, French bulldog and King Chrles Spaniel
Dogs born 2008-01-01 or later of other breeds and which were not born with a
natural full length tail can after a special inquiry at the Swedish Kennel Club
be judged on one occasion and get the result registered into the stud book.
Docked or cropped dogs born 2008-01-01 or later CAN participate in trials,
competitions or mentality tests under the conditions that the docking/cropping,
when executed, was permitted in the country where the dogs were born. Dogs which
have been docked for veterinary reasons or which were not born with natural full
length tails, MAY also have the right to participate in trials, competitions and
mentality tests.
General clause and possibilities for exemptions
Dogs which have been brought out of Sweden and which have been cropped or
docked or have had other, in Sweden, not permitted measures taken, may after the
return to Sweden NOT participate. This also goes for puppies after a bitch which
has been brought out of Sweden, if the puppies were born within a year from the
day that the bitch was brought out of Sweden.
From this regulation the General Committee of the Swedish Kennel Club can give
an exemption if it is obvious that the dogs have not been brought out of Sweden
to evade the rules for participation, or if particular reasons can be shown.
Castrated male dogs which have been castrated through surgical
operations MAY participate when showing a veterinary certificate
telling that the dog after 6 months of age, but before the castration had 2
normally developed and descended testicles.
Castrated bitches have a general exemption and MAY participate.
